Join the Assessors Guild

Our vision is to support the Assessment Community through a collective professional membership body that aims to reduce the risk of variable standards by benchmarking CPD to our Professional Standards. Improving the capacity and capability of Assessors through the medium of representation and professional development is key to exceptional standards, therefore influencing the production of good quality assessor qualifications and the renown of the assessor career.

There is something for all practitioners whether on the periphery of assessment as an administrator in an educational setting, through to professionals pursuing an assessor career.

If you meet our professional standards, you can become a member of The Assessors Guild. This gives you your own Member Profile that is your shopfront to potential employers and also where you can access and record your CPD and assessor qualifications, keep up to date via our briefings and have your voice heard. Gain access to exclusive discounts for CPD that has been quality-approved and gain access to high quality Assessor job listings to advance your assessor career.

As a member of The Assessors Guild we award you post nominals, a designated certificate and if you are an End Point Assessor, we provide you with a Confirmation Statement detailing which Apprenticeship Standards you are approved to assess.

“A robust, yet fair applications process. The Assessors Guild have been informative & supportive throughout the applications process. I’ve now received my Welcome Pack for Managing Practitioner and it has exceeded my expectations, so thank you!”

 Ruth Anderson MPTAG

“I’m incredibly proud to be part of the Assessors Guild, given the need for such an important professional body in the industry. I found the application process to be appropriately robust, yet very meaningful. Having to submit certificates, testimonials and a personal statement really helped me to identify with the standards and also take stock and fully recognise the accomplishments I have worked so very hard to achieve, over my years in the industry.”

Amanda Scott MPTAG

“I am delighted to be successful in gaining Managing Practitioner membership with The Assessors Guild; it brings professionalism, rigor and increased quality to our sector. Additionally, Best for Training are proud to announce that our Level 3 Award in Undertaking End Point Assessment qualification has received the assured benchmark of quality approval by the Assessors Guild.”

Samantha Sutton MPTAG

“I am very pleased to be  accepted as a Managing Practitioner by The Assessors Guild. I found the process was rigorous and I felt a sense of achievement at being accepted.  Having an organisation to promote the work of assessors and be a voice for the profession is long overdue and I am so pleased that The Assessors Guild is now taking on this role.”

Anne Horn MPTAG

As a huge advocate for high quality assessment services I was very happy to be involved in the pilot stages. The Assessors Guild team were very supportive and the process is detailed enough to capture the right level of quality, without being overly complex. The process only requires evidence of what any good practitioner should already be doing and was a great way to make sure I was following best practice.

Keeley Turton MPTAG

“We have been championing the assessor role for many years, working with providers across the industry to match talented candidates to their perfect roles, and are delighted to be supporting The Assessors Guild in becoming the only dedicated professional body for vocational & technical assessors in the UK.”
